Nice article on Vail, but they are not so nice. Park City - last week, $5.50 for a small cup of coffee mid mountain. At SFO, same cup costs $2.15. Vail justification - none. Did you know that no lift ticket prices are posted at the one main ticket window at Park City? Or how the ticket agents spend an inordinate amount of time trying to sell an Epic pass - creating huge lines? Or $25 for a hot dog, banana and can of beer? Vail is leading the charge to make skiing unaffordable to everyone but the well-off - and ruin North American skiing as we know it.
