China's "Golden Week" (which is a long holiday for them), this year basically runs from Oct 1st through 8th with most people returning to work on the 9th. I point that out because our first pick tends to not perform well on each year's Golden Week and many times it has a good pick-up afterward. It doesn't have to trade that way...but historically that's been the case, more times than not it seems. China's Golden Week, of course, does not factor into what we buy or don't buy but it's affects it near-term, so I figured it was worth mentioning. https://www.travelchinaguide.com/intro/festival/national.htm
Trading seems fun, exciting, exhilarating, etc. so it has a lot of draw to it. And many people won't dig deeper than the euphoric emotion that they feel. However, trading is MUCH harder than investing. And much of the industry is bent towards getting you to trade rather than invest.
